Today I found out that there is something called a Grand Master of Memory. Becoming a Grand Master of Memory requires the following memorization feats:

• 1000 numbers in an hour
• 10 decks of cards in an hour (520 cards)
• One deck of cards in 2 minutes or under

From the website, it looks like only 62 people have achieved Grand Master of Memory status.

Memorizing a deck of cards in two minutes doesn't seem too far away. I haven't tried the other ones yet, but I'm going to spend all summer practicing :)
